Terms & Conditions

1. This GoPayz & MAIPk Zakat Raya 2022 Campaign (“Campaign”) is jointly organised by U Mobile Services Sdn Bhd (“U Mobile”) and Majlis Agama Islam dan ‘Adat Melayu Perak (“MAIPk”) which commences at 12.00am on 8 April 2022 and ends at 11.59pm on 26 May 2022 (“Campaign Period”).

2. By participating in this Campaign, you agree to be bound by all the terms and conditions below (“Terms and Conditions”).

3. Campaign Eligibility

a. This Campaign is open to all new and existing Muslim GoPayz customers with active GoPayz accounts. GoPayz accounts are active if you are able to perform transactions via those GoPayz accounts.

b. U Mobile and MAIPk reserve the right to reject any participation by any participant without assigning any reason.

4. Campaign Mechanics

a. To participate in this Campaign, you must perform following transaction (“Transaction”):

i. visit MAIPk’s platform via GoPayz app and;

ii. pay a minimum of RM10.00 of zakat fitrah, zakat harta, zakat pendapatan, zakat perniagaan, zakat simpanan, zakat emas, zakat perak, zakat tanaman, zakat ternakan, zakat KWSP or zakat saham (“Zakat”) in a single transaction using your GoPayz card (i.e. GoPayz MasterCard, GoPayz UnionPay, GoPayz Visa cards or GoPayz-MAIPk Visa Prepaid Card (Ta’awun) which is linked to your GoPayz app).

b. You may perform more than one (1) Transaction to participate in this Campaign. Each Transaction will be calculated as one (1) entry to the Campaign. However, you can only win once under the Campaign irrespective of the number of entries you have submitted during the Campaign Period.  

c. Payment of Zakat is managed by MAIPk subject to MAIPk’s terms and conditions made available at https://www.maiamp.gov.my/index.php/dasar-privasi.html. U Mobile makes no representation nor warranties on the Zakat. Further information on the amount and the type of MAIPk Zakat available is made available at https://www.maiamp.gov.my/kalkulatorzakat/.

5. Rewards

a. U Mobile will select the winners who perform the Transactions according to Paragraph 4 above based on the participation period below and each winner will be entitled to receive 1 unit of Petronas E-voucher worth RM10.00 ("Petronas E-voucher") made available by PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad (“Petronas”): 

b. The Petronas E-voucher:

i. is made available under the “GoPointz Rewards” > “My E-Vouchers” > “My Vouchers” tab of your GoPayz account when you perform the Transaction successfully;

ii. can only be used at any Petronas stations nationwide to purchase petrol and merchandise except for purchase of diesel fuel, mobile reloads and tobacco, subject to the terms and conditions imposed by Petronas. No refunds will be given for any purchase amount less than the Petronas E-vouchers value and no Mesra points will be issued for any purchase made using the Petronas E-voucher;

iii. is valid until 26 June 2022;

iv. is non-transferable and non-redeemable for cash, credit or rebate in full or in part and any visuals of the freebies shown on the GoPayz page, advertisement and promotion materials are for photography and illustration purposes only; and

 v. is given on an “As Is” basis. U Mobile and MAIPk are not responsible for the merchantability of the Petronas E-voucher. U Mobile and MAIPk reserve the right to substitute the Petronas E-voucher with that of similar value at any time without prior notice.

c. You are only entitled to receive one (1) Petronas E-voucher once throughout Campaign Period.

d. You must ensure that your GoPayz account is active upon receiving the Petronas E-voucher and at the point of the redemption.

e. U Mobile will notify the winners of their entitlement to the Petronas E-voucher via GoPayz in-app notification, GoPayz social media page or in any manner U Mobile deems fit.

6. General

a. U Mobile and MAIPk may change any of these Terms and Conditions and may terminate, suspend this Campaign or extend the Campaign Period. Any such change will be announced on our website. It is your responsibility to check these Terms and Conditions on our website and if you do not agree to any of the changes, you must immediately cease participation in the Campaign.

b. By participating in the Campaign, all participants: -

i. consent for U Mobile and MAIPk to collect, record, hold, store, use and disclose their personal information for purposes which are necessary or related to the participation in the Campaign;

ii. consent for U Mobile and MAIPk to disclose or publish their personal information such as their names and identities and any general information that U Mobile and MAIPk see fit about the participants in any media, marketing or advertising materials; and

iii. grant U Mobile and MAIPk the absolute and unrestricted right to modify, use and publish any still or moving images of the participants for any promotional, marketing, commercial or other related purpose, without any payment or compensation.

c. To the extent permitted by law, U Mobile and MAIPk exclude all liability in connection with this Campaign. All participants agree to release U Mobile and MAIPk from and indemnify U Mobile and MAIPk against all liability (including negligence) for any personal injury, for loss or damage (including loss of opportunity) or breach of any of these Terms and Conditions; whether direct or indirect, special or consequential arising out of participation in this Campaign.

d. The subscription and use of GoPayz is subject to the GoPayz Service Agreement and where applicable, these Terms and Conditions. In the event of any inconsistency, GoPayz Service Agreement Terms and Conditions, will prevail to the extent of such inconsistency.

e. The Campaign and these Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. The participants agree that the Courts of Malaysia have jurisdiction over all matters arising from this Campaign.
